Porsche 935 1976

Caractéristiques

935 spec, 760 hp, 3.2-liter SOHC air-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, twin-turbocharged and intercooled with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, Porsche four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension with McPherson struts/coil-over shock absorbers, control arms, and anti-roll bar, independent rear suspension with double wishbones, telescopic shock absorbers, and anti-roll bar, and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes.

  • Factory-built 934, later converted to 934.5 and then 935 specifications
  • A veteran of more than 40 GT races in Europe, the U.S., and Latin America
  • Raced at Le Mans in 1976 and 1977
  • Fully restored to its 1981 24 Hours of Daytona appearance

One of just 31 Porsche 934s built in 1976. First owner was Swiss racer Claude Haldi.

A triple veteran of the Le Mans 24 Hours weekend, racing twice and not qualifying on the third occasion. Haldi took Group 4 class victories at the Zeltweg 6 Hours, Nurburgring 1000km and Brands Hatch 6 Hours World Championship races.

• Bought by El Salvadorian Minister for Sport, Enrique Molins, known as ‘Jamsal’, in mid 1978, and upgraded to 935/77 body specification. ‘Jamsal’ and the car took four victories in ’78, racing in Central America.
